That being said I believe we all have the capability, skill and talent to be artists. We simply need to first learn how to Channel our creativity into the right outlet, and two allow yourself to create. What I mean by this is, everyone possesses the creativity to create! One simply needs to learn to access their creativity. Which is a whole different blog post for another day.
People get this idea early in life that they are either artistic or not and there is no in between. Wrong. There are only people who choose to access their creativity and therefore create, and those of us who say “I wish I could draw like that, but I’m not artistic at all” and as a result don’t try. The beautiful thing is, YOU ARE Every bit as capable as me or the next guy. Creative and artistic are not the same thing, and you can very possibly be creative and have artistic moments.
There are so many beautiful benefits to art therapy and using the parts of your brain that create! My next post will talk about how to channel your creativity and five exercises to tap into your creative side!
Thank you so much for reading this intro blog post and I hope you enjoy the upcoming posts!
